RGC Safety Program

RGC’s approach to safety centers on training and reinforcing safe behaviors throughout the company. Safe companies promote safety culture.  RGC’s reinforces an injury free environment with the goal of zero incidents on every project by performing regular jobsite inspections.  Worker safety will not be jeopardized under any circumstances.  

Our Safety program has been recognized by the following awards:

2017- The United States Department of Labor -Bronze Level- National Stand down to prevent falls in Construction – (multiple projects)

2016- NC Department of Labor Certificate of Safety Achievement- Gold Award

2016- Outstanding Safety Performance Award at Liberty University

Safety Director

RGC’s Safety Director is responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of our ongoing safety program. RGC’s safety compliance is achieved by periodic jobsite safety inspections to assess safety compliance. Safety checklists, digital photos, and physical inspections are used to ensure clean and safe jobsites.  Educating workers on safety precautions is the best preventative measure to avoid incidents.

RGC’s full time Safety Director is responsible for and committed to our company-wide safety compliance.  With over 30 years of experience, RGC’s Safety Director is an OSHA Outreach Authorized trainer for 500/510 training.

RGC is qualified to offer additional training not listed above.  In addition to safety training, RGC offers the following services:  Accident Investigations, Risk Assessment, Safety Manual Development, Safety Audits, Safety Inspections, Safety Programs, and Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP).

Safety Policies

RGC’S Safety Program has the following mandatory requirements:

  • Weekly toolbox safety training for workers and subcontractors
  • Each jobsite has at least one person certified in First Aid/CPR training
  • Company Drug Testing Policy since 2009
  • 100% cooperation during safety briefings, trainings and inspections
